NEWS AND VIEWS - JUNE 2025
June! It's been a reasonably productive month for me here, but I don't really have too much to show for it yet. I'm still working on the latest Signalverse novel, Signal Solutions, which just hit 40,000 words; I'm hoping to finish it around the middle of July. I'll be making the ebook available on my Patreon as soon as it's complete, but I'm not sure when it'll hit Amazon -- the book is going to need cover art, and unfortunately I don't think I can afford to hire any of my usual cover artists right now. Money's tight.
I've made some progress on "The Ghosts of F.A.N.G." -- the short story I mentioned last month -- but it still has a ways to go.
I've also been messing around with layouts for the new edition of the Complete Guide to the Signalverse. The previous edition had about five hundred character profiles; this one will have at least seven hundred. It'll also have more mini-essays, more history, more trivia, an expanded timeline, and new sections on Signalverse artifacts, major companies and corporations, Signal City neighborhoods, and so on. I tend to go a little overboard with this worldbuilding stuff.
Sadly, there's not much of an audience for this kind of thing, so instead of releasing the new edition on Amazon I'll probably just print out a few nice hardcover copies for myself and a few friends via Lulu, while also making the PDF available on my Patreon.
In non-Signalverse news, paperback and ebook editions of Lillandra are now available on Amazon. It's a pretty good book, I think. I haven't really put any effort into promoting it, because it's already freely available on Royal Road (and it kind of flopped over there anyway), but if you're interested, well, there it is.
And that's all for this month. Hope you're having a great summer!
